from a daily mile to one thousand miles

My iPhone coach and my health apps have been busy this past year!

In addition to my weight scale app keeping track of my BMI and sending me step challenges for motivation, my nike+ app has let me know I’ve logged about 1000 miles in workouts. Woo-hoo! I feel proud of this accomplishment.


My daily mile app lets me know I’ve walked one hundred and seventy two minutes, burning off 300 donuts or 15 pounds in the last year. (Happily, I’ve munched my way through the extra calories, making up the difference!)

I’ve saved $44.00 in gas (not a whole lot at today’s prices) and I’ve generated enough energy to power 195 television sets. Kinda cool.

I feel like I am living proof of Lao Tzu’s quote!! (Yes, those are my feet!)

And to think, all I did was… start!
